Validity and reliability of the German versions of the CD-RISC-10 and CD-RISC-2

Anna Irena Wollny et al.

Summary: The present study examines the psychometric properties of the brief German versions of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10 and CD-RISC-2) in a sample of 360 students. The CD-RISC-10 showed good reliability, while the CD-RISC-2 had slightly lower reliability. The results support the validity of the CD-RISC-10 and, to a lesser extent, the CD-RISC-2, based on their convergent, divergent, and incremental validity.

Measurement invariance of the CD-RISC-10 across gender, age, and education: A study with Slovenian adults

Tina Kavcic et al.

Summary: This study examined the measurement invariance of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10) across gender, age, and education. Results showed that the CD-RISC-10 demonstrated configural, metric, and scalar invariance across these groups. The measure displayed satisfactory reliability and positive associations with well-being, as well as negative links with negative emotional states. Group differences were found in resilience levels, with men showing higher resilience than women, early adults demonstrating higher resilience than emerging adults, and individuals with higher education levels exhibiting higher resilience. The Slovenian version of the CD-RISC-10 is considered a reliable and valid tool for assessing resilience, capable of detecting differences between gender, age, and educational groups.

Examination of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale 10 (CD-RISC-10) Using the Polytomous Rasch Model

Brody Heritage et al.

Summary: The study utilized the 10-item variant of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10) to examine its psychometric properties against the polytomous Rasch measurement model criteria, finding that a seven-item variant performed well. The shorter version of CD-RISC-10 demonstrated generally acceptable psychometric properties for examining individual psychological resilience in a parsimonious manner.
