Investigation on thermokinetic suppression of ammonium polyphosphate on sucrose dust deflagration: Based on flame propagation, thermal decomposition and residue analysis

Chuyuan Huang et al.

Summary: Ammonium polyphosphate (APP) is effective in suppressing the deflagration of sucrose dust, with the minimum inerting concentration determined to be 8%. Furthermore, APP can delay peak temperature arrival time, reduce peak values of flame temperature, and effectively weaken deflagration intensity.

Characteristics of coal dust deflagration under the atmosphere of methane and their inhibition by coal ash

Qi Zhao et al.

Summary: The study revealed that under certain methane atmosphere, the addition of coal ash can prevent the decomposition of coal dust to a certain extent and weaken the intensity of coal dust deflagration. The inhibitory mechanisms of coal ash on coal dust deflagration were summarized based on material analysis.

Experimental investigations on synergistic inhibition of aluminum hydroxide and aerosil on ignition sensitivity of Niacin dust

Bo Zhang et al.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of dust concentration and inert dust on the lowest ignition temperature of niacin dust. Results showed that higher concentration of inert dust leads to lower ignition temperature. The synergistic inhibition effect of aluminum hydroxide and aerosol is efficient.

Surface Roughness and Chip Morphology of Wood-plastic Composites Manufactured via High-speed Milling

Weihua Wei et al.

Summary: The study examined the effects of cutting parameters on the surface roughness and chip morphology of high-speed milling wood-plastic composites. It was found that the surface roughness increases with the axial depth, feed rate, or radial depth, but decreases with spindle speed. Additionally, the axial depth, feed rate, and spindle speed significantly influenced chip morphology.

Inertant effects and mechanism of Al(OH)3 powder on polyethylene dust explosions based on flame propagation behavior and thermal analysis

Song Lin et al.

Summary: The addition of Al(OH)(3) powder has a significant effect on the structure and propagation characteristics of a polyethylene dust explosion flame, by decreasing flame brightness and propagation velocity, and diminishing flame pulsation. Al(OH)(3) powder retards the acceleration of flame propagation and decreases the thermal weight loss of polyethylene, showing significance in the prevention and treatment of polyethylene dust explosion accidents.
