Time-resolved in situ DRIFTS study on NH3-SCR of NO on a CeO2/TiO2 catalyst

Jie Yang et al.

Summary: CeO2/TiO2 catalyst was studied using in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy, and it was found that CeO2 particles grew along TiO2 faces and amorphous cerium in the lattice of TiO2. NH4+ could adsorb on the Ti-O-Ce structures or TiO2-CeO2 interface as Bronsted acid sites, and NH4NO3 intermediate dominated the SCR reactions.

Theory and practice of metal oxide catalyst design for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3

Wenpo Shan et al.

Summary: NH3-SCR is an effective method for the purification of coal-fired flue gas and diesel vehicle exhaust, requiring catalysts with high activity, selectivity, and stability to achieve efficient removal of NOx. The close coupling between redox and acid sites is crucial for the design of such catalysts.

Insights into the co-doping effect of Fe3+ and Zr4+ on the anti-K performance of CeTiOx catalyst for NH3-SCR reaction

Keke Kang et al.

Summary: A novel K-resistant Fe3+ and Zr4+ co-doped CeTiOx catalyst was prepared for NH3-SCR of NOx, showing superior K-resistance and improved activity after K-poisoning. The proposed anti-K poisoning mechanism involves sacrificial Fe and Zr forming protective species, as well as additional reducibility and surface acidity enhancing distribution.

Nb2O5-modified Mn-Ce/AC catalyst with high ZnCl2 and SO2 tolerance for low-temperature NH3-SCR of NO

Yuhan Zhou et al.

Summary: This study found that doping Nb2O5 can enhance the SCR performance and sulfur resistance of Zn-Mn-Ce/AC catalyst, form new acidic sites by preferentially reacting with SO2, promote NH3 adsorption and inhibit SO2 adsorption, which hinders the reaction between NH3 and SO2 and slows the formation of ammonium sulfate channels on the catalyst.
