A review on recycling and reuse methods for carbon fiber/glass fiber composites waste from wind turbine blades

Manjeet Rani et al.

Summary: The development of novel strategies for recycling and reusing fiber composites is driven by environmental and economic factors. This paper reviews various recycling methods and reuse of recovered fibers, highlighting the potential for high-value structural applications in the future. Challenges in fiber recycling and the high energy intensity of manufacturing glass and carbon fibers make them promising in terms of both environmental and economic perspectives.
