MiR396 regulatory network and its expression during grain development in wheat

Summary: Our research found that the miR396 family in wheat exhibits diversity and uniqueness, playing a role in regulating grain development. The functional enrichment analysis of target genes of miR396a and miR396n show significant differences, while 11 out of 18 shared target genes of miR396(b-g), miR396(h-m), and miR396(o-q) are growth-regulating factor genes.

Key stress responsive cis- and trans-acting factors were detected through quantitative epigenomic approaches, highlighting the coordinated interplay between regulatory elements, epigenetic factors, and transcription factors in subgenome divergent transcriptional responses to external changes.
