A model of repetitively pulsed low-pressure CO2 discharges is developed, and plasma characteristics during the pulses and in the afterglow periods, as well as the CO2 conversion factor, are calculated. The computed results are in agreement with available experimental data.
A model of repetitively pulsed low-pressure CO2 discharges is developed. In the framework of this model, plasma characteristics (electric field, electron density, gas temperature, and vibrational temperature of the asymmetric mode) are calculated both during the pulses and in the afterglow periods. The CO2 conversion factor in repetitively pulsed discharges is calculated. Results of computation of plasma parameters and of the conversion factor agree with available experimental data.& nbsp;Published under an exclusive license by AIP Publishing.& nbsp;
