This study investigates the effect of vibration on Marangoni flows in a droplet on a liquid substrate. Numerical analysis using longwave amplitude equations shows that vibration can change the shape of the droplet, resulting in rhombic droplets. The shape of the droplet significantly influences its oscillations.
The action of vibration on Marangoni flows in a droplet on the liquid substrate is investigated. The problem is studied numerically in the framework of longwave amplitude equations. It is shown that vibration can lead to the change of the droplet's shape. Specifically, rhombic droplets have been obtained. The droplet's shape influences significantly the droplet oscillations.
