Non-Gaussian Generalization of the Kazantsev-Kraichnan Model for a Turbulent Dynamo

A. Kopyev et al.

Summary: This article introduces a generalization of the Kazantsev-Kraichnan model that takes into account the statistical time asymmetry of turbulent flow, allowing for the description of velocity fields with energy cascade. A generalized Kazantsev equation is derived for three-dimensional velocity fields, and the evolution of the second-order magnetic field correlator is investigated for large but finite magnetic Prandtl numbers. It is found that the growth increment tends to the limit known from the T-exponential method as the magnetic Prandtl number approaches infinity, and the generation of the magnetic field is weaker than that in a Gaussian velocity field, depending primarily on the Prandtl number.

Long-term properties of finite-correlation-time isotropic stochastic systems

Summary: We study finite-dimensional systems of linear stochastic differential equations with stationary continuous statistically isotropic stochastic processes. We find exact expressions for the Lyapunov and generalized Lyapunov exponents by analyzing the rate function of the diagonal elements of A.
