Problem of p- and SV-waves reflection and transmission during two media under three thermoelastic theories and electromagnetic field with and without gravity

S. M. Abo-Dahab et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the reflection and refraction of primary and shear waves in solid-liquid media under three thermoelastic theories, including initial stress and gravity. The study focuses on the behavior of thermoelastic waves at interfaces between different media with initial stress and magnetic fields, considering various thermoelastic theories. Results show the reflection and refraction coefficients as functions of angle of incidence, initial stress, electromagnetic field, and gravity, with special cases of presence or absence of initial stress or gravity being examined. Numerical calculations of reflection and refraction coefficients ratios for incident waves are presented to illustrate the phenomenon.

Effects of Coriolis force on the nonlinear interactions of acoustic-gravity waves in the atmosphere

Debjani Chatterjee et al.

Summary: The study revisited the nonlinear theory of acoustic-gravity waves in the atmosphere taking into account the effects of the Coriolis force, identifying the coupling between high-frequency acoustic-gravity waves and low-frequency internal gravity waves. The Earth's angular velocity enhances the frequency of internal gravity waves and significantly modifies the nonlinear coupling between acoustic-gravity waves and internal gravity waves.

Modeling of nonlinear ion-acoustic solitary, snoidal and superperiodic wave phenomena due to ionospheric escape of Venus

Punam Kumari Prasad et al.

Summary: The dynamics of ions in the ionospheric shell of Venus induced by solar wind escape are analyzed using ion-acoustic wave models and Sagdeev pseudopotentials to study the existence of nonlinear and supernonlinear waves. The research also examines wave breaking phenomena and the effects of traveling wave velocity on the total energy function and wave solutions.

Supernonlinear wave and multistability in magneto-rotating plasma with (r, q) distributed electrons

Alireza Abdikian et al.

Summary: The study investigates the multistability of supernonlinear ion-acoustic waves in a rotating magnetized electron-ion plasma, showing solutions under the mZK equation with nonlinear periodic and solitary waves. The effects of (r, q)-distribution parameters on the waves, along with wave speed and direction, are examined. Multistability of perturbed dynamical systems is also analyzed, revealing the coexistence of trajectories for different spectral indices and the presence of two types of chaos supported by Lyapunov exponent graphs.

Dust-acoustic solitary and cnoidal waves in a dense magnetized dusty plasma with temperature degenerate trapped electrons and nonthermal ions

A. Abdikian et al.

Summary: A rigorous theoretical study was conducted on obliquely propagating dust-acoustic solitary waves and cnoidal waves in a dense degenerate dusty plasma medium. The influence of different plasma parameters on the wave propagation was analyzed, and potential applications were proposed, including explaining the nature of solitary waves in different ultra-dense astrophysical environments and in experiments involving laser-plasma interaction.
