Multiplicity per rapidity in Carruthers and hadron resonance gas approaches

Abdel Nasser Tawfik et al.

Summary: This study compares the multiplicity per rapidity of various identified particles at different energies in high-energy experiments with the Cosmic Ray Monte Carlo event generator. Two theoretical approaches based on fluctuations and correlations (Carruthers approach) and statistical thermal assumptions (hadron resonance gas approach) are used to fit the experimental and simulation results. The Carruthers approach reproduces the multiplicity per rapidity for all particles over a wide energy range, while the HRG approach describes the results within a narrower rapidity range. Incorporating ingredients such as flow and interactions in the HRG approach would improve its ability to match with the experimental data.
