Management of left ventricular thrombus: a narrative review

Summary: LVT is a serious complication of acute MI and non-ischemic cardiomyopathies. Predictors of LVT include anterior MI, involvement of LV apex, LV akinesis or dyskinesis, reduced LVEF, severe diastolic dysfunction, and large infarct size. Anticoagulant therapy for at least 3 months can reduce the risk of LVT-related events.
