Analysis of sensitivity in quantitative micro-elastography

Jiayue Li et al.

Summary: This study presents a framework for analyzing the sensitivity of QME, demonstrating through experimental data that sub-kPa elasticity sensitivity can be achieved. The sensitivity is shown to depend on factors such as friction, OCT focus depth, and averaging methods in signal processing.

In situ AFM detection of the stiffness of the in situ exposed cell nucleus

Kun Wang et al.

Summary: The stiffness of the cell nucleus is a critical biomechanical property that plays important roles in cell behaviors and functions. This study developed a strategy for in situ detecting the stiffness of the cell nucleus via AFM, revealing that both the intact cell nucleus and the exposed nucleus have different stiffness compared to nonnuclear regions. This simple and effective strategy holds promise for wide application in studying cell biomechanics.
