Rapid 3D Shape Measurement using Sine Pattern in Phase-Shifting Projection Method

Summary: The paper discusses the importance of accuracy and speed in a 3D measurement system using a DLP projector and a camera. By dividing the measurement area using gray codes and subdividing a sine wave pattern using the phase-shifting method, the accuracy of the measurement can be increased. Through experiments, it was confirmed that the proposed method can increase the measuring speed by 25% at the same accuracy and improve the accuracy of the reference plane by 7 times at the same speed.
