Phenotypic Robustness of Epidermal Stem Cell Number in C. elegans Is Modulated by the Activity of the Conserved N-acetyltransferase nath-10/NAT10

Mark Hintze et al.

Summary: The study found that mutation in the NAT10 gene increases variability in the number of seam cells in an isogenic population of C. elegans. RNA-seq analysis showed increased levels of mRNA transcript variability in nath-10 mutant populations, which may impact observed phenotypic variability. Additionally, disrupting NATH-10 function was found to lead to disruptions in Wnt signaling pathway.
