A Trans-Omics Comparison Reveals Common Gene Expression Strategies in Four Model Organisms and Exposes Similarities and Differences between Them

Jaume Fores-Martos et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that functionally related genes across different organisms have similar expression strategies based on analysis of six expression variables. By analyzing these variables, the research also reveals that gene expression control mainly occurs at the transcription rate level in actively growing organisms, with translation playing a minor role. Additionally, the differences in expression profiles between organisms can be used to establish their phylogenetic relationships.
