The Allelopathic Potential of Rosa blanda Aiton on Selected Wild-Growing Native and Cultivated Plants in Europe

Summary: Invasive plant species can alter ecosystems and threaten native flora and fauna populations. This study found that aqueous extracts of R. blanda leaves and flowers had the highest allelopathic potential, inhibiting seed germination and seedling growth of tested species. The concentration and type of extract also affected biomass and water content in seedlings, with the highest impact at 5% concentration.
