Application of polymethyl[4-(2,3-difluoro-4-hydroxyphenoxy)butyl] siloxane in surface acoustic wave gas sensors for dimethyl methylphosphonate detection

Michal Grabka et al.

Summary: The study presents the application of PMFOS as a sensor coating in a SAW gas sensor, showing its enhanced ability to interact via acidic hydrogen bond formation. The PMFOS sensor exhibits superior humidity resistance compared to the PLF sensor, indicating its advantages in DMMP sensing in humid air.

Freestanding and Flexible beta-MnO2@Carbon Sheet for Application as a Highly Sensitive Dimethyl Methylphosphonate Sensor

Wooyoung Kim et al.

Summary: In this study, a freestanding flexible sensor electrode based on a beta-MnO2-decorated carbon nanofiber sheet (beta-MnO2@CNF) was proposed to detect dimethyl methylphosphonate (DMMP) as a nerve agent simulant. The electrode showed excellent sensitivity toward the target analyte DMMP (down to 0.1 ppb), as well as high selectivity, reversibility, and stability. The introduction of MnO2 on the surface of the substrate through phase transfer of PPy@PAN and MnO2 resulted in the successful development of the beta-MnO2@CNF sheet electrode.
