In this review, we summarize the synthesis and synthetic applications of three major classes of cyclic alpha-diazo monocarbonyl compounds: alpha-diazo ketones, alpha-diazo lactones, and alpha-diazo lactams, highlighting the differences in reactivity compared to their acyclic counterparts.
The reactivity of cyclic alpha-diazo monocarbonyl compounds differs from that of their acyclic counterparts. In this review, we summarize the current literature available on the synthesis and synthetic applications of three major classes of cyclic alpha-diazo monocarbonyl compounds: alpha-diazo ketones, alpha-diazo lactones and alpha-diazo lactams.
