Adsorption Properties and Composition of Binary Kolliphor Mixtures at the Water-Air Interface at Different Temperatures

Magdalena Szaniawska et al.

Summary: This study investigates the adsorption properties and composition of the adsorbed monolayer at the water-air interface of the binary mixture Kolliphor(R) ELP (ELP) and Kolliphor(R) RH 40 (RH40) based on surface tension measurements. The obtained results provide a method for determining the Gibbs surface excess concentration and mixed monolayer composition using various equations and analysis techniques.

Chemical study of the application of nonionic surfactants nonylphenol in delaying the acidizing reaction of carbonate matrices

Alcides de Oliveira Wanderley Neto et al.

Summary: This study successfully formulated an acidic solution containing Nonylphenol nonionic surfactants to decrease the reaction rate between H+ ions and carbonate rocks, in order to increase the efficiency of acid stimulation in oil wells. The presence of the surfactant not only reduced surface tension and changed medium wettability, but also increased solution viscosity, delaying the reaction process.
