We propose a directive broadband and high gain Vivaldi antenna for 5G applications in theKa-band. By utilizing a substrate lens and quasi-substrate integrated waveguide structure, the gain of the antenna is increased and impedance matching is improved.
We propose a directive broadband and high gain Vivaldi antenna in the Ka-band (26-40 GHz) for 5G applications. To increase the gain of this antenna, we use a substrate lens and the quasi-substrate integrated waveguide structure with the aim of reducing reflected waves and emphasizing the traveling waves. With this method, the gain is increased by 4.5 dBi in average and 7.5 dBi in the peak. The antenna has a good impedance matching in the whole band.
