Hydrogen production employing Cu(BDC) metal-organic framework support in methanol steam reforming process within monolithic micro-reactors

Mahsa Varmazyari et al.

Summary: The Cu(BDC) metal-organic framework was used as a support for the copper catalyst in the methanol steam reforming process. Different promoters were examined for their effects on the catalytic activities, with Ce/Sm-Cu(BDC) showing the highest activities and stability. The Cu/Ce-Cu(BDC) catalyst demonstrated the highest resistance to carbon formation and potential for practical industrial applications.

Dual-Functional Mesoporous Copper(II) Metal-Organic Frameworks for the Remediation of Organic Dyes

Vonika Ka-Man Au et al.

Summary: By using tritopic and ditopic organic linkers from the same core, copper(II) metal-organic frameworks with different structures were synthesized successfully at room temperature. These frameworks showed mesoporous nature and dual functionality in removing organic dyes, with cationic dyes being adsorbed and anionic dyes effectively degraded in a photo-Fenton-like reaction catalyzed by the MOFs under visible light irradiation.

β-cyclodextrin-containing polymer based on renewable cellulose resources for effective removal of ionic and non-ionic toxic organic pollutants from water

Koleta Hemine et al.

Summary: A novel bio-derived cyclodextrin-based trifunctional adsorbent was successfully synthesized for efficient removal of a variety of toxic pollutants from water. The adsorbent showed high adsorption capacity for both ionic and non-ionic pollutants, and maintained consistent performance even after multiple regeneration cycles. The adsorbent has promising potential for practical applications due to its bio-derived, cost-effective, and reusable properties.
