G-quadruplex DNAzyme as peroxidase mimetic in a colorimetric biosensor for ultrasensitive and selective detection of trace tetracyclines in foods

Yue Tang et al.

Summary: The colorimetric method, despite being able to determine initial results by naked eyes, faces the challenge of low sensitivity for antibiotics detection in food. A ultrasensitive colorimetric biosensor based on G-quadruplex DNAzyme was proposed for rapid detection of trace tetracycline antibiotics. This biosensor has a low detection limit and good recovery rates, showing promising application prospects for tetracycline detection in foods.
