Nanocubes with a hollow mesoporous structure were synthesized, showing a regular core-shell cubic morphology. These nanocubes exhibited excellent photothermal conversion efficiency and accelerated drug release under acidic and NIR conditions.
The nanocubes with hollow mesoporous Prussian blue core and mesoporous silica shell (HMPB@mSiO(2)) were prepared. According to the SEM and TEM, the material showed a regular hollow core-shell cubic structure. Up to 879 m(2)/g of the surface area and 4.2 nm of average pore size were measured by N-2 adsorption-desorption. The nanocubes exhibited excellent photothermal conversion efficiency under 808 nm NIR. The UV-vis spectrophotometry showed that the drug loading content of the materials were 868.27 mu g/mg (drug/carrier) and which can accelerate the release of DOX under acidic and NIR conditions.
