Prediction of the adsorption properties of liquid at solid surfaces with molecular scale surface roughness via encoding-decoding convolutional neural networks

Gaoyang Li et al.

Summary: In this study, a deep learning encoding-decoding convolutional neural network is proposed to predict the adsorption density distribution of atomic and organic liquids on surfaces with different molecular scale roughness. The method achieves highly accurate prediction and visualization of micro scale adsorption behavior, significantly improving computational efficiency compared to traditional molecular dynamics simulations.

Influence of Ionomer Loading and Substrate Wettability on the Morphology of Ionomer Thin Films Using Coarse-Grained Solvent Evaporation Simulations

Takuya Mabuchi et al.

Summary: Coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations were used to study the evolution of ionomer morphologies in solutions during solvent evaporation, revealing different film structures at low and high ionomer loadings. The effects of ionomer loading and substrate wettability on the morphologies of ionomer thin films after drying were investigated, showing different film structures on hydrophobic and hydrophilic substrates.

A molecular dynamics study of the effect of functional groups and side chain on adsorption of alcoholic surfactant and interfacial thermal transport

Yuting Guo et al.

Summary: In this study, the effects of the number and position of functional groups, as well as the length of main and side chains in organic surfactants on adsorption behavior and interfacial heat transfer were investigated through molecular dynamics simulation. It was found that these factors influenced the heat transfer efficiency at the solid-liquid interface. The results provide insights for designing more effective surfactants to enhance interfacial heat transfer.
