Recent advances in ratiometric luminescence sensors

Xueyu Pei et al.

Summary: Ratiometric luminescent sensors are of great interest for providing precise quantitative and qualitative analysis. Dual emissions can be achieved through fluorescence resonance energy transfer or intramolecular charge transfer. Recent progress shows that ratiometric luminescent method can be used for selectively quantifying and qualitatively recognizing different substances.

Solid-State Reversible Dual Fluorescent Switches for Multimodality Optical Memory

Runqing Yang et al.

Summary: This study reports reversible dual fluorescent photoswitching characteristics in the solid state of SP-functionalized TPE derivatives. These photoswitches exhibit two distinct fluorescent states, cyan and red, which can be reversibly converted into each other upon irradiation with UV and visible light. The nonplanar molecular conformation of TPE moieties in the solid state facilitates the reversible photoisomerization of SP, enabling applications in anticounterfeiting and optical writing and erasing fluorescent devices.

An electrostatically regulated organic self-assembly for rapid and sensitive detection of heparin in serum

Zhixiao He et al.

Summary: A fluorescent probe PYPN was designed for the detection of Hep, showing fast and sensitive detection performance without interference from other compounds. The probe exhibits a good linear relationship with Hep concentration in various serum matrices, with a detection limit lower than the minimum concentration used in clinical treatment.
