A Novel Multi-purpose MIP for SPE-HPLC and QCM Detection of Carbaryl Residues in Foods

Chang Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, two detection methods of solid-phase extraction-high-performance liquid chromatography (SPE-HPLC) and quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) were established using a surface molecularly imprinted polymer material (MIP) for the detection of carbaryl. The MIP showed good adsorption and selectivity for carbaryl, with the potential for application in detecting actual food samples.

A ratiometric fluorescence nanoprobe using CdTe QDs for fast detection of carbaryl insecticide in apple

F. Shahdost-fard et al.

Summary: A novel fluorescence method using cadmium telluride quantum dots was presented for sensitive detection of carbaryl in Iranian apples, with a low detection limit and potential for use in monitoring fruit residues. The enzyme-free visual detection showed satisfactory results in the presence of other pesticides, and was confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography analysis, suggesting promise for rapid and valid detection of food safety targets.
