In this study, an organic-inorganic catalyst PDI/BiO2-x was synthesized, which efficiently degraded various pollutants and improved the separation efficiency and surface area. The results showed that the degradation rates of RhB and MB were increased by 21 and 18 times, respectively, when using the PD/BiO2-x catalyst. Additionally, it effectively degraded methyl orange and tetracycline hydrochloride. Furthermore, the catalyst demonstrated good cycling stability through five recycle experiments.
Background: Photocatalytic degradation of pollutants has the characteristics of high energy efficiency and no secondary pollution. In this paper, organic-inorganic perylene diimide modified BiO2-x (PDI/BiO2-x) was synthesized, which can degrade various kinds of pollutants efficiently. Method: The samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM, DRS, PL and ESR. Results: It was found that the introduction of PDI sA effectively improved the separation efficiency and increased surface area of BiO2-x. When PD/BiO2-x catalyst was used to degrade RhB and MB, the degradation rates were increased by 21 and 18 times respectively. In addition, it could also degrade methyl orange and tetracycline hydrochloride. At the same time, the degradation rate still maintained 85% through five times recycle experiments.
