Nano-silver incorporated amine functionalized graphene oxide titania nanotube composite: a promising DSSC photoanode

M. Kandasamy et al.

Summary: This study focuses on improving the photoconversion efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) by modifying TiO2 nanotubes with amine functionalized graphene oxide (GO). The results show that the surface structure and disorder of GO change after amine functionalization, and the incorporation of silver nanoparticles enhances dye adsorption and light gathering of the modified photoanode. The DSSC fabricated with the modified TiO2 nanotubes exhibits a high photo-conversion efficiency of 8.18% due to efficient charge transport, high dye loading, and broad light absorption.
