Design and synthesis of Pt catalyst supported on ZSM-22 nanocrystals with increased accessible 10-MR pore mouths and acidic sites for long-chain n -alkane hydroisomerization

Lei Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, ZSM-22 nanocrystals with more accessible 10-membered ring openings and a mesoporous structure were synthesized on a large scale. The prepared Pt/HZSM-22-NA catalyst showed higher intrinsic activity and C-12 isomer selectivity compared to conventional Pt/HZSM-22, possibly due to changes in porous structure and acidity. The enhanced catalytic performance of Pt/HZSM-22-NA could be attributed to the increased number of accessible 10-membered ring openings and acidic sites, as well as improved mass transfer facilitated by mesoporosity.

Species and impacts of metal sites over bifunctional catalyst on long chain n -alkane hydroisomerization: A review

Yangchun Tan et al.

Summary: The Fischer-Tropsch process is a key method for producing high-value-added products in the coal chemical industry, but the limited demand for Fischer-Tropsch wax has led to overcapacity. Hydroisomerization can transform these waxes into low-freezing-point oil-phase mixtures to address market imbalances. The types and structural control of metal sites significantly improve the performance of bifunctional catalysts in n-alkane hydroisomerization.

A comprehensive review of physicochemical properties, production process, performance and emissions characteristics of 2nd generation biodiesel feedstock: Jatropha curcas

Digambar Singh et al.

Summary: Researches are focusing on finding alternative energy substitutes to conventional fossil fuels due to their limited reserves and negative impact on the environment and human health. Biodiesel, particularly jatropha oil, is considered one of the most promising alternatives to traditional diesel fuel. The properties and fatty acid distribution of jatropha oil play a significant role in its stability and impact on diesel engine performance and emissions.

Regenerability of complex (PdO)xPd0.05-xCe0.95O2-y catalyst stabilized on functionalized alumina surface

Karolina A. Ledwa et al.

Summary: The catalyst consisting of Pd0.05-xCe0.95O2-y nanoparticles and PdO particles showed high catalytic activity and structural stability in the propane oxidation reaction. The catalyst exhibited high reducibility of ceria at low temperatures and could be easily regenerated after catalytic reaction.
