Environmental influence analysis of marine waste-oyster shell-plastic bag for waste treatment

Shu-Yao Tsai et al.

Summary: This study focused on identifying suitable plastic bags made from marine waste (oyster shell) for environmentally friendly waste disposal. Results showed that these plastic bags met standards in terms of thermal stability, decomposition characteristics, and heavy metal content, with a biodegradation rate of up to 90.35%.

Effects of calcination temperature on morphological and crystallographic properties of oyster shell as biocidal agent

Kitae Park et al.

Summary: Thermally calcined oyster shells were studied as biocompatible antimicrobial agents, with CaO identified as the main antimicrobial component effective against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. Calcined oyster shells treated at 750 degrees C showed the best antimicrobial potency.

Re duce d graphene oxide/oyster shell powers/iron oxide composite electrode for high performance supercapacitors

Chunghsuan Hsiao et al.

Summary: In this study, a hierarchical supercapacitor was designed and fabricated with a multi-layer structure composed of rGO and OSP. Different morphologies of Fe2O3 nanoparticles were obtained through the hydrothermal process, resulting in an excellent specific capacitance for the rGO/Oyster/Fe2O3 composite electrode.

Characterization of Low-Density Polyethylene and LDPE-Based/Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate with Medium Content of Vinyl Acetate

Nga Thi-Hong Pham

Summary: The study investigated the mechanical properties of LDPE/EVA blends with different EVA-28 content. Results showed that the tensile and flexural strength decreased with increasing EVA-28 content, while hardness decreased. However, adding EVA-28 improved the elongation at break, with the highest value achieved in the blend containing 10% EVA-28.
