Flavonoids improve drought tolerance of maize seedlings by regulating the homeostasis of reactive oxygen species

Summary: This study investigated the role of flavonoids in improving maize drought tolerance, using the doi57 mutant and wild-type B73 under drought stress. The results showed that the doi57 mutant exhibited better drought tolerance, growth performance, and higher levels of flavonoids compared to B73. Transcriptome analysis revealed enrichment of genes involved in flavonoid biosynthesis in doi57, indicating a potential mechanism for its improved drought tolerance.

Molecularly Imprinted Electrochemical Sensor Based on 3D Wormlike PEDOT-PPy Polymer for the Sensitive Determination of Rutin in Flos Sophorae Immaturus

Summary: A molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) with 3D nanorod structures was successfully prepared by cyclic voltammetry (CV) polymerization, showing better current response, faster charge transfer rate, and higher doping levels towards rutin. The sensor exhibited high sensitivity, selectivity, long-term stability, and acceptable reproducibility, with accurate detection of rutin content in Flos Sophorae Immaturus.
