The paths of syntheses, chemical characteristics and stability tests for selected synthetic cannabinoids: 5F-PB-22, NM-2201, UR-144, and AB-CHMINACA

Kinga Kadziola-Dlugolecka et al.

Summary: This publication presents analytical data for four psychoactive substances, including methods for their synthesis and confirmation such as ESI-MS, GC-EI-MS, GC-FID, HPLC, Raman spectroscopy, and H-1 NMR. It also discusses characteristic fragmentation patterns for cannabinoids and the development of HPLC methods for qualitative and quantitative determination of all synthesized compounds. Additionally, it utilizes RAMAN and GC-FID as analytical tools for compound identification in stability tests.

Discrimination of phenethylamine regioisomers and structural analogues by Raman spectroscopy

Cui-Mei Liu et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated the ability of Raman spectroscopy to distinguish phenethylamines, even for highly similar structural analogues. Raman showed high distinguishing ability for phenethylamine regioisomers with different substitution positions and structural analogues with different groups. The study also validated the practical use of the Raman method in forensic field by correctly identifying 95% of seized samples.

Preliminary study on the identification of synthetic cathinones in street seized samples by Raman spectroscopy and chemometrics

Andre Braz et al.

Summary: This study utilized a portable Raman spectrometer and chemometrics for fast identification of synthetic cathinones in seized packages, detecting key spectral regions for differentiation. Purified spectra were used for estimating component concentrations, and analysis showed differences in Raman shifts and intensity of characteristic bands could discriminate among samples. The proposed method has potential for objective and contactless identification of seized synthetic cathinones.
