Multi-group discontinuous asymptotic P1 approximation in radiative Marshak waves experiments

A. P. Cohen et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the propagation of radiative heat waves using modified P-1-approximation equations. Different approximation methods are compared, with the discontinuous asymptotic P-1 approximation showing better results. The new approximation provides a good agreement with experimental results for propagating Marshak waves.
