Blatter-type radicals as polarizing agents for electrochemical overhauser dynamic nuclear polarization

Felipe Saenz et al.

Summary: Overhauser Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (O-DNP) is a technique that transfers spin polarization from unpaired electrons to surrounding nuclei in solution, significantly increasing the nuclear magnetic resonance signal intensity. By using specific types of radicals as polarizing agents and electrochemically removing unpaired electrons on demand, relaxation of the hyperpolarized state can be avoided. This approach potentially allows for the development of highly tunable radicals for electrochemical DNP.

Blatter-Radical-Grafted Mesoporous Silica as Prospective Nanoplatform for Spin Manipulation at Ambient Conditions

Artem S. Poryvaev et al.

Summary: This study proposes using radical-grafted mesoporous silica as a versatile nanoplatform for spin-based QC/QIP, utilizing stable organic radicals for efficient spin manipulation with long electron spin decoherence time. The mesoporous structure of these composites is nuclear-spin free and allows for embedding guest molecules, promoting robustness and tunability as highly promising nanoplatforms for future QC/QIP developments.

Mixed-Valence Compounds as Polarizing Agents for Overhauser Dynamic Nuclear Polarization in Solids**

Andrei Gurinov et al.

Summary: A novel set of polarizing agents - mixed-valence compounds have been investigated through theoretical and experimental methods, showcasing their performance in high-field dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) NMR experiments in the solid state. These compounds, with molecular mobility persisting even in solids, can be used to conduct Overhauser-DNP experiments in the solid state, providing favorable conditions for dynamic nuclear polarization formation at ultra-high magnetic fields.

Direct observation of hyperpolarization breaking through the spin diffusion barrier

Quentin Stern et al.

Summary: Dynamic nuclear polarization is a widely used tool for enhancing the sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging, but its practical applicability is limited by the spin diffusion barrier, which hinders efficient polarization transfer between highly polarized nuclei and bulk nuclei.
