The MAPbBr3 perovskite and MAPbBr3/PMMA organic glasses were successfully synthesized, showing excellent optical properties. The nonlinear absorption coefficient of MAPbBr3/PMMA is competitive with perovskite materials, and its stability over time proves its potential for future optical limiting devices.
The MAPbBr3perovskite was synthesized, and X-ray diffraction proves that the MAPbBr3perovskite is a single crystal.MAPbBr3/polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) organic glasses were fabricated. The MAPbBr3single crystal shows strong UV-visible absorption and weak transmittance. Compared with the MAPbBr3single crystal, MAPbBr3/PMMA organic glasses show suitable UV-visible absorption and trans-mittance and enhanced UV-visible absorption stability. The nonlinear optical measurement of MAPbBr3/PMMA was performed. An obviously reverse saturable absorption is observed. The nonlinear absorption coefficientis as high as 3.8 m/GW. This large nonlinear absorption coefficient is competitive compared with that of perovskite materials. Besides, then onlinear absorption stability of MAPbBr3/PMMA is also studied. Both the UV-visible absorption and nonlinear absorption over time prove the excellent stability of MAPbBr3/PMMA. The superior nonlinear refraction property of MAPbBr3/PMMA is also performed. The excellent reverse saturable absorption property and the nonlinear refraction property of MAPbBr3/PMMA result insuperior optical limiting characteristics. This work implied that MAPbBr3/PMMA may be applied for future optical limiting devices.
