Summary: Most research on optically left-handed materials has focused on the design of various structures, but the circuital structures and the effect of interior structures on optical handedness have not been fully understood. Additionally, scalable methods to utilize the unique characteristics of these materials have not been reported.

Optical Magnetic Multipolar Resonances in Large Dynamic Metamolecules

Omar Ibrahim et al.

Summary: Dynamic metamolecules consist of a hydrogel dielectric core surrounded by randomly packed plasmonic nanobeads, with their optical properties tunable by controlling core diameter. High-order multipole resonances become prominent as structure size increases and interbead gap decreases, leading to significant mixing among high-order magnetic multipole modes, particularly in the directional scattering spectra. Additionally, higher-order magnetic modes can exhibit Fano-like interference patterns in angular scattering, which are experimentally detectable.
