A general charge transport picture for organic semiconductors with nonlocal electron-phonon couplings

Weitang Li et al.

Summary: The nonlocal electron-phonon couplings in organic semiconductors responsible for the fluctuation of intermolecular transfer integrals have attracted recent interest. Through a numerical study of the Holstein-Peierls model, different scenarios like phonon-assisted transport, transient localization, and band-like transport were identified, each with distinct transport behaviors and characteristics. An intermediate regime was also identified where none of the established pictures applies, showing that the generally perceived hopping regime is limited within the proposed paradigm.

Self-Sensitized and Reversible O2 Reactivity with Bisphenalenyls for Simple, Tunable, and Multicycle Colorimetric Oxygen-Sensing Films

Muhammad Imran et al.

Summary: Using bisphenalenyls as the single active component for colorimetric O2 sensing offers a cost-effective solution with high stability and low detection limit. Polymer-supported films reproduce reactivity trends and maintain high stability through repeated cycles of reaction. The simplicity and solution processability of these materials highlight their potential as intelligent inks for printable colorimetric sensors.

Greater than 10 cm2 V-1 s-1: A breakthrough of organic semiconductors for field-effect transistors

Peng Hu et al.

Summary: Organic semiconductors are attracting attention for their advantages such as low-temperature processing ability, low fabrication cost, and flexibility. Studying high charge carrier mobility organic semiconductors with a mobility higher than 10 cm(2) V-1 s(-1) is crucial for future commercial microelectronic applications. Progress in discovering novel organic molecules and improving device fabrication technology has led to some organic molecules breaking existing knowledge limitations and demonstrating very high mobilities.
