Committee Machine-Ensemble as a General Paradigm for Accurate Prediction of Bubble Point Pressure of Crude Oil

Sina Rashidi et al.

Summary: The study introduces a committee machine-ensemble (CME) paradigm for accurately estimating bubble point pressure (BPP) of crude oil based on solution gas-oil ratio, reservoir temperature, gas specific gravity, and stock-tank oil gravity. By combining predictions from four different expert systems and adjusting coefficients through differential evolution and genetic algorithm, the proposed CME paradigm achieves accurate predictions with an absolute average relative deviation (AARD) of 6.06% and regression coefficient (R-2) of 0.98777. This intelligent approach reduces the risk of producing from a two-phase region in oil reservoirs.

Application of cascade forward neural network and group method of data handling to modeling crude oil pyrolysis during thermal enhanced oil recovery

Mohammad-Reza Mohammadi et al.

Summary: This study developed general models using neural networks to predict the residual mass during crude oil pyrolysis. More than 2000 experimental data were utilized, and six optimization algorithms were applied to enhance the performance and prediction ability of the models. The CFNN model optimized with the LM algorithm showed the best fit with a mean absolute percent relative error of 1.04%. Additionally, a mathematical correlation was developed using the group method of data handling (GMDH) to estimate the residual mass of crude oil pyrolysis in TGA.
