The results showed similar effectiveness between IVT and EVT, as well as IVT and MT, in these patients, with a potential benefit of EVT in those treated after 2015.

Prediction of Early Neurological Deterioration in Individuals With Minor Stroke and Large Vessel Occlusion Intended for Intravenous Thrombolysis Alone

Summary: The study aimed to develop and validate an easily applicable predictive score for early neurological deterioration following intravenous thrombolysis in patients with acute minor stroke and large vessel occlusion. The results showed that a score based on thrombus length and occlusion site had good discriminative power for identifying ENDi risk, with higher scores associated with greater probability of ENDi occurring.

Middle Cerebral Artery M2 Thrombectomy in the STRATIS Registry

Summary: In the STRATIS Registry, patients with M2 occlusions achieved similar rates of successful reperfusion, good functional outcome, and mortality compared to M1 occlusions, although there were increased rates of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage in the M2 group. Further studies are needed to understand the benefits of mechanical thrombectomy for M2 occlusions.
