Reply to Letter to the Editor regarding Ophthalmic artery angioplasty for age-related macular degeneration

Summary: This article provides an update on the hemodynamic model of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The results suggest that choroidal perfusion is an important environmental influence that contributes to disease progression in AMD. Genetic susceptibility and age-related changes in choroidal circulation play a significant role in AMD development.
