Tailoring the magnetic properties and microstructure of NdFeB ribbon alloys by Hf addition

Minglong Zhong et al.

Summary: The effects of Hf addition on NdFeB alloys with different Nd content were studied, showing varied impacts on magnetic properties at different temperatures. Higher Nd content resulted in improved remanence and maximum magnetic energy product, while lower Nd content led to increased intrinsic coercivity. At higher temperatures, alloys with high Nd content showed enhanced intrinsic coercivity, remanence, maximum magnetic energy product, and temperature stability.
