Tourmaline Reference Materials for the In Situ Analysis of Oxygen and Lithium Isotope Ratio Compositions

Summary: Three tourmaline reference materials from the Harvard Mineralogical and Geological Museum were characterized for their oxygen and lithium isotope compositions. The homogeneity tests showed that their isotope ratios are constant at sub-nanogram test portion masses. The variations in lithium content and heterogeneity of the materials were also assessed.
