Investigations on the leaching behavior of fresh concrete - A review

Steffen Overmann et al.

Summary: This study summarized research projects on the release of potentially harmful substances from concrete over the past 20 years, showing that the release of fresh cementitious materials is significantly higher than that of hardened materials, mainly due to the decreasing diffusion coefficient during hydration, but for lead, the leaching of hardened materials is higher.
