Survival and Living Situation After Ruptured Abdominal Aneurysm Repair in Octogenarians

Liliane C. Roosendaal et al.

Summary: The study found that octogenarians treated for ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm have a high 30-day and one-year mortality rate, but half of those who undergo surgery are still alive one year later, with over 80% returning to their own home after rehabilitation. A high body mass index is a significant predictor of mortality at 30 days and one year.
