Analytical model for the prediction of solar cell temperature for a high-concentration photovoltaic system

Fahad Gallab Al-Amri et al.

Summary: This study presents a simple analytical model for predicting solar cell temperature in a high concentration photovoltaic system. The study found that parameters such as backplate emissivity, wind velocity, backplate thickness, and length have a crucial impact on reducing solar cell temperature.

Finite element modeling of continuous drive friction welding of Al6061 alloy

Mohammed A. Tashkandi

Summary: A CDFW model was developed using the Finite Element Method (FEM) to simulate the thermal and mechanical behaviors of the process. Phase transition curves for Al6061 were used to determine temperature-dependent thermophysical properties, which were then applied in a second simulation to study temperature evolution during welding. The model and experimental results were compared, showing excellent comparability and explaining a unique phenomenon in the welding temperature profile.

Investigation on sol-gel based coatings application in energy sector-A review

Gobinath Velu Kaliyannan et al.

Summary: This paper provides a detailed overview of the fabrication of thin films using sol-gel technique, outlining the structural characterization and the effects of physical and chemical parameters on anti-reflection coatings prepared through sol-gel practice. The essential factors for the coated layer behavior include the solvent to additive ratio, precursor agent concentration, aging time of the solvent, thickness, and substrate material. Anti-reflection coatings prepared by sol-gel technique are favored for their feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compactness.

Effect of diamond-like nanocomposite as antireflection layer on multi-crystalline silicon solar cells

Debasish De et al.

Summary: The research shows that diamond-like nanocomposite (DLN) as an antireflection coating performs better and is relatively safer in multicrystalline silicon solar cells compared to silicon nitride (SiNX).
