Simulations of Helical Inflationary Magnetogenesis and Gravitational Waves

Axel Brandenburg et al.

Summary: In this study, numerical simulations of helical inflationary magnetogenesis in a low reheating temperature scenario show that the magnetic energy spectrum peaks strongly at a specific wavenumber. Gravitational waves are generated in the frequency range of 3 nHz to 50 mHz, depending on the reheating temperature, with a stress spectrum resembling white noise below the peak frequency. The presence of helicity extends the peak of the gravitational wave spectrum, leading to potential detectability with space interferometers at larger frequencies.

Chiral gravitational waves produced in a helical magnetogenesis model

So Okano et al.

Summary: This study investigates the gravitational wave production induced by primordial magnetic fields in a parity-violating magnetogenesis model and examines their relationship. The research suggests that detectable gravitational waves by LISA, DECIGO, or BBO and strong enough magnetic fields to explain blazar observations can be simultaneously produced and have the same chirality. The amplitudes of the magnetic fields and gravitational waves are related, which can be tested by future observations.

Baryon isocurvature constraints on the primordial hypermagnetic fields

Kohei Kamada et al.

Summary: The decay of hypermagnetic helicity at electroweak symmetry breaking may have produced baryon asymmetry, however, fully helical magnetic field may not be strong enough to explain the origin of intergalactic magnetic field; the combination of helical and nonhelical primordial magnetic fields may explain both, but is ruled out by the constraint on amplitude of baryon isocurvature perturbations.

Gauge-field production during axion inflation in the gradient expansion formalism

E. V. Gorbar et al.

Summary: This study investigates the explosive production of gauge fields during axion inflation using a novel gradient expansion formalism. By considering the backreaction of the produced gauge fields and the Schwinger pair production of charged particles in a strong gauge-field background, it is shown that the Schwinger effect can suppress gauge-field production to prevent backreaction. Additionally, the induced current is found to dampen Bunch-Davies vacuum fluctuations deep inside the Hubble horizon.

Reheating in the kination epoch via multichannel decay of gravitationally created massive scalars

Juho Lankinen et al.

Summary: A detailed study of reheating in the kination regime is conducted, where particles are produced through gravitational production of massive scalars decaying into massless scalars and fermions. Numerical calculations reveal a reheating temperature in the range of 10^9 - 10^13 GeV, with the fermionic decay channel being the dominant channel when the mass of the decaying particle is small.
