Resonant phenomena in an all-dielectric rectangular circuit induced by a plane microwave

A. B. Shvartsburg et al.

Summary: Theoretical and experimental investigations were conducted on the electromagnetic resonances excited by linearly polarized microwaves in a rectangular, thin, all-dielectric subwavelength circuit. The displacement and polarization currents induced in this anisotropic circuit were found to produce resonant magnetic and electric dipoles. The orientation of the rectangular circuit frames with respect to the incident radiation affects the variety of resonances observed in the near zone, indicating a multitude of narrow polarization-dependent resonances.
