Bimetallic nitrogen-doped porous graphene for highly efficient magnetic solid phase extraction of 5-nitroimidazoles in environmental water

Yu Wang et al.

Summary: Fe/Ni bimetallic nitrogen-doped porous graphene nanomaterials were successfully prepared and used as magnetic solid phase extraction adsorbents for the determination of 5-nitroimidazoles in environmental water samples. The introduction of nitrogen increased the dispersion and active sites of the materials. The adsorption behavior of Fe/Ni-NPG for 5-NDZs was investigated, and several factors including π-π electron donor-acceptor interaction, hydrogen bond, and electrostatic interaction were found to contribute to the excellent adsorption properties. The method based on Fe/Ni-NPG provided accurate and reliable detection of 5-NDZs in environmental water samples.
