Liquid plus liquid equilibrium and thermodynamic modeling of water plus cyclohexanone plus ethyl acetate at different temperatures

Hongyue Guo et al.

Summary: The liquid-liquid equilibrium data of water, cyclohexanone, and ethyl acetate at different temperatures were studied, evaluating the extraction ability of ethyl acetate and comparing it with mesityl oxide for selectively extracting cyclohexanone. The NRTL and UNIQUAC models were successfully associated with the LLE data with good consistency of the regression parameters verified by GUI-MATLAB tools.

Ternary (Liquid plus Liquid) Equilibrium Experiment and Thermodynamic Modeling for Solvents (p-Xylene, Mesityl Oxide)+2-Butanone + Water at 298.2, 303.2, and 313.2 K under 101.3 kPa

Hongyue Guo et al.

Summary: The study investigated the extraction of 2-butanone and water from azeotropic system using different solvents, finding that p-xylene is more suitable for extraction. The reliability of the experimental data was verified using different equations, with UNIQUAC model showing a better correlation than NRTL model for this system.

Ternary (liquid plus liquid) equilibrium experiment and thermodynamic modeling for water plus cyclohexanone plus mesityl oxide at 298.2, 303.2 and 313.2 K under 101.3 kPa

Hongyue Guo et al.

Summary: The liquid-liquid equilibrium data of the ternary mixture of water, cyclohexanone, and mesityl oxide at different temperatures and pressures were presented. The distribution coefficient and separation factor were used to assess the efficiency of extracting cyclohexanone from water. The NRTL and UNIQUAC models successfully correlated the experimental data with good reliability.
