Experimental study on combustion and yield characteristics of dimethyl carbonate/n-heptane blends in the cone calorimeter

Xuehui Wang et al.

Summary: A detailed investigation on the combustion behavior of a representative ester-alkane blended fuel was conducted using a cone calorimeter. Experimental results showed that the soot yield is the major contributor to incomplete combustion of the blends, as indicated by parameters like the burning rate of DMC and carbon conversion ratio.

Mutual diffusion coefficients of (isooctane plus n-heptane) and (n-decane plus n-heptane) from 288.15 K to 318.15 K

Yuqi Su et al.

Summary: The mutual diffusion coefficients of two binary solutions were measured and the influences of temperature and composition were discussed. Semi-empirical correlations for mutual diffusion coefficients were obtained by fitting experimental results, with low average relative deviations.
